Open-Face Three-Kind Apple Pie

Ingredients

2 medium Golden Delicious apples

2 medium Honeycrisp apples

2 medium Fuji apples

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons white sugar

1½ teaspoons cinnamon

1 tablespoon lemon juice

3 tablespoons all purpose flour

2 teaspoons of powdered sugar (optional)

1 store-bought pie crust (or make your own)

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Peel, core, and slice apples. Place in a large bowl. Add brown and white sugars, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix. Add flour to apple filling and stir. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of the filling for a glaze. Don’t mix in.

Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until crust is golden and apples are tender.

Notes

If the edges of the pie begin to burn, gently wrap foil around the edges.
