Ingredients:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 jars (24 ounce each) pasta sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 large eggs
- Salt to taste
- Pepper powder to taste
- 2/3 cup parmesan, grated
- 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 16 ounce lasagna noodles (no boil variety)
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated (use more or less as per your taste)
Method:
- Select Sauté option. Add oil, onions, beef, salt and pepper to instant pot. Sauté until beef is brown.
- Add pasta sauce and water and stir. Transfer into a bowl and keep it aside.
- Mix together in a bowl, ricotta, eggs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning salt and pepper.
- Pour water in the pot so that 1/4-inch of water is present at the bottom of the pot.
- Spoon in about 1/5 of the beef sauce. Layer with noodles followed by a layer of cheese.
- Repeat above step until all the sauce is consumed. The topmost layer should be of noodles topped with sauce. Retain the last layer of cheese.
- Close the lid. Select Manual option and timer for 7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and release the excess pressure.
- Sprinkle the last layer of cheese. Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
