Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup stone ground grits
- 1 cup half and half or milk
- 1 cup water
- 8 ounces cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter + extra to garnish
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Method:
- Select Sauté option. Add oil. When oil is heated, add grits and toast it until it is light brown.
- Add half and half or milk, water, cheddar cheese, butter and water.
- Close the lid. Select Manual option and set the timer for 10 minutes.
- Let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes and quick release excess pressure.
- Transfer into a bowl.
- Melt some butter. Drizzle butter over the cooked grits and serve immediately.
