Ingredients:
- 8 green apples, cored, do not remove the bottoms
- 1 cup coconut butter, melted
- 1/2 cup nut butter, unsweetened
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
- 4 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- A large pinch salt
- ½ cup coconut, shredded, unsweetened
- 2 cups water
Method:
- Mix together coconut butter, nut butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Stuff this mixture into each apple.
- Place the filled apples in the instant crock-pot. Pour water in the bottom of the pot. Place trivet.
- Sprinkle the top of the apples with shredded coconut. Place apples in a heatproof bowl over the trivet.
- Close lid. Set Slow cook option and timer for 1 hour. When done, let the steam release naturally.
