Dear Reader

The first three Cheshire Bay stories fell out of me in a rapid fashion. Between July 8th, 2020 and August 11th, 2020, I’d written three full-length novellas, each pushing on the edge of a novella and into the novel length territory. I couldn’t believe how fast I had to write, and how desperate I was to get the words out. Believe me when I tell you, Lily, Cedar, and Amber would not shut up, nor would Eric, Mitch, or Antonio. Ha-hah. Even after they had quieted down, I still needed to go back to Cheshire Bay. Deep down in my heart, I knew my time there wasn’t complete. Then I had the opportunity to submit a wholesome, Christmas based hallmark-style romance, and I jumped at the chance. Who better to write about than Lily’s goody-two-shoes sister? And that’s how Christmas in Cheshire Bay came to be.

However, that being said, I’ve enjoyed my time in the small town so much, I have another story coming out in September – titled Journey to Cheshire Bay. It is a true standalone but will contain Easter Eggs of your favourite Cheshire Bay characters. Also on the agenda are four new stories, all set in the fictional seaside village, with all new characters. Bigger, better, and badder! Some have revenge on the mind, some, like Lily, will be starting over, while others will be spreading their wings. They all will find love, but the journey to it will be different for each.

Be sure to join my mailing list for all the updates, sneak peeks, and exclusives that only my valuable subscribers will receive. Plus, I make sure you get a free gift in every newsletter along with a not-sold anywhere story titled Behind the Mask. I promise not to spam you (they come every two weeks) and I keep things brief with lots of freebies (including a scavenger hunt in the words). Your time is valuable, and I appreciate how you’ve spent time reading my story (thank you for that!).

As an author, it makes my day when a reader or blogger shares their thoughts and gives me feedback on the characters they’ve invested their time in. When readers fall in love with a character, it’s encouraging to write more. So, if you don’t mind, share with me what you liked, what you loved, or even what you hated. I’d love to hear from you via email, my website, or a review on your favourite retailer site. It doesn’t have to be long, even just as simple as “Couldn’t put it down”, or “Loved the characters” or “Why isn’t Cheshire Bay a real place?” works. Reviews and ratings help me gain visibility, and as I’m sure you can tell from my books, reviews are tough to come by. If you have the time for an extra review, here’s my author page on Goodreads .

Thank you so much for spending time with me.

Yours,

H.M. Shander
