Juicing Tips
Before Juicing—Please look at the below information before making any of the juice recipes. It will help you get the most out of all your fruits and vegetables!
1. Always make sure your juicer is on before you put anything in it.
2. Wash everything thoroughly.
3. Lemon and limes are even better for you with the skin on, so you can keep it on if you like. If it is too bitter, leave half on.
4. Peel grapefruits and oranges, but leave the pith on.
5. It’s also great if you leave the skin on your ginger.
6. 1 handful = 1 packed cup
7. Pack small leafy items with other ingredients to give you the best juice yield. That means taking your delicate greens like mint and wrapping them in your larger leaves like chard.
8. Always put the smaller ingredients in first, then add the larger items like celery and cucumbers so the larger bits can act like a chaser and push through all the smaller ingredients.
9. Unless specified, each of the following recipes will make approximately one 16-ounce serving.
