Every book I write teaches me that while I may write the words, each book requires a team, and I’m convinced I have the very best one.

My lovely editor, Robin Haseltine, helped make Finlay and Charlotte’s story better in more ways than I can possibly count. Rebecca Strauss, my agent extraordinaire, has been a wonderful voice of support who has guided me when I couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Rose Lerner provided invaluable research assistance with aspects of the political storyline, while the talented Kelly Bowen shared her excitement for Finlay’s story and offered helpful advice on how I could make certain parts more memorable.

The ladies of The Drawing Room, my fellow historical romance authors in crime, have provided me with a safe space to share my triumphs and failures in both publishing and beyond.

Every writer needs a squad, and I am so rich to count Lisa Lin, Elizabeth Bright, Shannon Gallagher, and Pamela Donovan as part of my crew. Each have been much needed cheerleaders and have ensured Rogue was the best it could be. I owe a multitude of thanks to my CP and writing bestie, Laura Kristie, who is generous with her praise, gentle with her criticisms, and abundant in her love.

Last but never least, I would also like to offer my heartfelt thanks to my family for being the ultimate corner team. They’re quick to celebrate my successes…but if my head were ever to grow inflated, they would be quick, and brutal, in their efforts to bring me back down to earth.

I would be remiss if I did not offer a special shoutout to Joyce McBride, my sweet mother-in-law, for being a champion of my writing career. I am humbled and grateful for the confidence she shows in me.
