Persistence
[Jesus said,] “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”
There’s more to prayer than just seeking an answer to a question or a solution to a problem. Whether or not you realize it, God often does more in your heart through your act of prayer than he does through his actual answer. As you continue coming to him with your praises and needs, taking the time to both talk to him and listen for his response, he promises that you will gain greater understanding of yourself, your situation, his purpose for you, and his direction for your life.
