Rejoicing
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign LORD is my strength!
The more you despair during hard times, the more those times will drag you down. But the more you reach out to God with hope and gratitude, recognizing that your circumstances are temporary, the more your perspective and attitude will change for the good. No matter what you are going through, you can respond joyfully to the God who offers you peace and strength to calm your heart and mind.
