Endurance
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
It may seem contradictory, but adversity actually produces strength. Just as your muscles grow when they are pushed beyond their limits, your character grows when the pressures of life test your strength and endurance. Developing strong character takes time and attention. Only through hard work will you achieve great accomplishments and the satisfaction that goes with them. Pain, trials, and temptations refine us so that over time we are better equipped to endure them.
