God’s Glory
When the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor. . . . In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.
In the midst of suffering, you may feel as though your pain will never end. But in comparison with eternity, your present suffering lasts only for “a little while.” Be encouraged by the promises of God: He will restore what has been lost, support you with comfort and provision, strengthen you to overcome, and place you on the firm foundation of his unchanging love. And as a crowning gift, you will share in his glory forever!
