You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
God does not promise that your life will always be happy. In fact, the Bible acknowledges that problems will come your way. But God does promise lasting joy for all who sincerely follow him. If you trust him, you have the assurance that the God of the universe loves you, wants to know you, promises to comfort and care for you, and has guaranteed an eternal future with him. This kind of joy stays with you despite your problems, and it helps you get through them without being overwhelmed.
