Perseverance
God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. . . . Looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
To persevere is to endure with courage, even when the end is not in sight. Whatever you are facing, ask God to help you be faithful and do what is right, regardless of whether you see your desired results. Viewing your problems as opportunities to strengthen your faith and deepen your intimacy with Christ will grow your reliance on him, help you endure suffering, and give you the ability to persevere joyfully.
