Orange, brioche, faint juniper
An easy drink to fix for a crowd, serve these Fizzes with a big skillet of scrambled eggs, English muffins, and fruit salad.
Where the F is my Mimosa?! We’ve given it over for the Buck’s Fizz, the Mimosa’s sexier cousin from across the pond. Before you call us traitors, hear us out—the Buck’s Fizz has about the same amount of alcohol but is less sweet. Unlike a true Mimosa, it does not have triple sec and sports a higher ratio of Champagne to O.J. Popular in the 1920s at London’s Buck’s Club, bartender Pat McGarry created this bright concoction, to which we add a bit of gin. Oops!
3 ounces (90 ml) Champagne (or crémant)
2 ounces (60 ml) fresh orange juice
Splash of gin
Orange slice, for garnish
In a flute glass, add orange juice and top with Champagne. Add gin and garnish with the orange slice on the rim of the glass.
