Beth Jacobs, PhD, is a writer, clinical psychologist in private practice, and former faculty member of the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University. A lay teacher in the Soto Zen tradition, Jacobs integrates Buddhist studies and practice into her clinical and creative work. She is the author of Writing for Emotional Balance (2005) and Paper Sky: What Happened After Anne Frank’s Diary Ended (2014), and is an award-winning columnist for the National Association for Poetry Therapy.
