My very dear reader,
The more I get to know Petal Morgan, the more I adore and admire her and, frankly, worry for her. She, even more than Fee, has a fearlessness that borders on the kind of cray-cray that has me on the edge of my seat to see what happens next.
I hope you’re enjoying her as much as I am. As with all of my characters, her reveals and shares about who she is and the life she’s led up to the point when we meet often leave me laughing, sometimes heartbroken for her but always, always eager to return to her and the stories she has to tell.
I’m hiding from winter in beautiful Bali, Indonesia at the moment, but I’m still writing and, if this book’s production is any indication, I’ll be even more productive than when I’m home. With the publication of this, my first book of 2020 with another coming before January is done, I’ll be topping out my publication list at 121 titles. And counting.
You know what that means. On the heels of The Hothouse Deception is the next in Fiona Fleming’s new series, the Fleming Investigation Cozy Mysteries. Inquiring Minds and Murder is up next and I’m delighted to hang out with Fee and Crew and Petunia in Reading and see what kind of mayhem is pending.
AND. For my Syd fans, you’ll be excited to know I have a new novella coming in February. Because my brain has been in murder mysteries for so long now, she’s asked me to tell one of her very own cozies, which I’m delighted to do. No title yet, though it’ll be along shortly, because we all know Syd isn’t the patient type.
For now, happy reading and stay warm (my favorite!).
Best,
Patti
