FROZEN IN PLACE, SELENE would not move as people came in and out of the room throughout the day. Seti stood right beside her in their hiding place.  They both watched with great fascination as to what was happening but had no idea exactly what was taking place.

It wasn’t until Kaili was there alone Seti decided to prove to Selene that no one could see them. He reached for her elbow and slowly guided out from behind the racks. There exposed, the stood silently.

Seti got an idea, and reach over to the rack.  He touched a dagger and slowly moved it to the shelf's edge. “We can move things?” Selene asked.  “Seti smiled, “yes, but it takes a little work to master the skill.”  With that he pushed the dagger a little farther until it freefell to the floor.

Selene quickly focused her attention to the lady at the table. It was clear she had heard the noise.  She called out, but Selene and Seti stayed quiet. True fact was, they could not be heard anyway. It felt right not to move or speak.

The lady turned around and slowly started walking towards them. She never acknowledged their presence.  As Kaili walked right by them, Selene held her breathe even though it was not necessary.  The woman saw the dagger on the floor, picked it up, placed it back on the shelf and headed back towards her table.  After a few minutes she walked out the doors.

Selene glanced at Seti with a look of confirmation. “Wow, that was an experience.”

Seti was fast to reply. “There is no cause to hide. We can move around freely.”

Just as he finished his sentence the lights went out, turning the room back to the dim, quiet graveyard it was when Selene originally arrived.

In an effort to figure out what was going on, Selene articulated her story to Seti. She told him of her last thoughts at the palace, how she found herself in the dark, and then laying on the table that how holds the bones.  Seti nodded in agreement thought-out her description.

The account sounded comparable to what he had experienced.  Seti began to tell his story about seeing the children play and then getting ready for supper. Suddenly seeing himself in the mirror and then gone from the palace.

As he recalled the encounter he went into detail. “Just like you, everything went black.  I had no idea what happen.  Then I wake up standing in some clear box surrounded by other clear containers with objects in them.  The air was stuffy, and not moving.” Stopping a moment to remember what he did next, Seti then continued. “I stood there for a while and tried to make sense out of it. Then I reached out to touch the cases’ edge but my hand went right through it. I realized I could step out of the box. So, I did.”  Seti ended.

Considering this new information, Selene was trying to make sense of it all. An idea hit her. “Where was this container?” Seti replied. “I’ll show you.” He pointed to behind them and started walking. Selene followed.
