No Bells on Sunday/Phantom Radio
(2014)

AS I’VE grown older, making records has become much more enjoyable, and instead of creating just the bare bones of what I’m able to, I now make music that is much more in tune with what I myself like listening to.

Even when I make records under my own name, everything I do is a collaboration with others, and these records are no different. They’re possible only through my partnership with producer Alain Johannes and Aldo Struyf, who has been the musical director of my band for a decade.

“Dry Iced” is indicative of my long-standing interest in Krautrock and “Floor of the Ocean” is influenced by Factory Records bands Joy Division, Crispy Ambulance, and Section 25. My Leather Nun fetish was mined once again on “Death Trip to Tulsa,” and music for the signature tune “I Am the Wolf” was a gift from old friend Duke Garwood.
