PER PETTERSON is the author of eight novels, including Men in My Situation and Out Stealing Horses, which has been translated into more than fifty languages. Petterson has received the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize, the Nordic Council Literature Prize, and the Norwegian Critics Prize. He lives in Norway.

INGVILD BURKEY is a Norwegian author and translator. Her published works include two volumes of poetry, a novel, a collection of short prose and, most recently, a book of stories, Et underlig redskap. Her second poetry collection, The Most Imaginable of All Worlds, was nominated for the Brage Prize. She was educated at Yale University and now lives with her family in Oslo.
