Green Tea
Ingredients
• Zest of 1 lemon wedge cut into slivers
• 2 teaspoons boiling water
• 2 teaspoons green tea powder
• 3/4 cup hot water
• 1/2 cup fresh grapefruit or orange juice
• 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon honey
Directions
• Place lemon zest in mug and cover with 2 teaspoons boiling water.
• Steep for 3 minutes, then add green tea powder and hot water.
• Add fruit juice and honey; stir slightly.
Benefits: The addition of fresh fruit juice adds vitamin C to this delightful, healthy tea. Teas in general are good for the heart, the circulatory system, and the immune system, and are full of antioxidants; green tea, specifically, has been linked to lowered risks for cancer.
