Sleep Tight Tea
Ingredients
• 2 tablespoons chamomile leaves
• 1 tablespoon hops flowers
• 1 tablespoon passionflower
• 1 tablespoon lemon balm
• 1 tablespoon peppermint leaf
Directions
• Combine the herbs together in a bowl, then store in an airtight container when not in use. Label the blend and the date made.
• To prepare the tea, combine 1 to 2 tablespoons of the herb mixture with 1 to 11/2 cups of boiling water.
• Allow to steep for 5 to 15 minutes before straining and drinking. The longer it steeps, the more potent it will be.
Benefits: This tea is like a giant infusion of relaxation. The peppermint is added both for flavor and to help with indigestion, which can sometimes be a cause of sleeplessness. Chamomile and hops both calm the nerves. Lemon balm is prescribed for insomnia, while passionflower quiets the mind.
