Ojas-building Tonic
Ingredients
• 1 tablespoon chopped dates
• 2 teaspoons chopped almonds
• 1 tablespoon coconut meat or flakes
• 1/2 teaspoon saffron
• 1 or 2 teaspoons ghee
• 1/8 teaspoon green cardamom
• 1 cup almond milk
• 1 teaspoon raw honey
• 1/8 teaspoon or one 500mg capsule of ojas-building herbs: shatavari (“strength of 100 husbands”) or ashwagandha (“strength of ten horses”).
Directions
• Add small amounts of the first 6 ingredients to one cup of milk as you slowly bring it to a boil.
• Add ojas-building herbs to the milk.
• Once the milk, herbs, and spices are heated and off the burner, add 1 teaspoon of raw honey.
• Drink one cup each night for 3 months to rebuild ojas levels and support sleep patterns.
