Andreas Schroeder’s family emigrated from Prussia (today a part of Poland) when he was five years old. As a child, he loved to read. Today, he is the author of more than 20 books of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction and has earned award recognition for his first novel, his nonfiction writing, and most recently for investigative journalism.
Of the many books he’s written, Scams! is Andreas’s fourth on the subject of hoaxes and his first for young readers. For 12 years, he also reported on swindles and deceptions from around the world for a popular national radio program.
