GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE

2 cans (14.5 ounces each) French-cut green beans, drained
1 can (10.75 ounces) cream of mushroom soup, condensed
2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup real bacon bits*
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/4 cups french-fried onions, divided

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine all ingredients except onions in a greased 1 1/2-to 2-quart baking dish. Stir in 1/2 cup onions. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes, or until bubbly. Sprinkle remaining onions over top and bake 5 minutes more. Makes 4–6 servings.

*5–7 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled, may be substituted.
