You won’t be able to pass up these treats. I often welcome guests with them.

1 egg
1 egg white
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups reduced-fat granola with raisins
1 cup dried cranberries or cherries
1. In a large bowl, beat the egg, egg white, brown sugar and oil until blended. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually stir into sugar mixture just until blended. Stir in the granola and cranberries (batter will be thick).
2. Spread into a 9-in. square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and set. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
PER SERVING 1 brownie equals 256 cal., 6 g fat (1 g sat. fat), 18 mg chol., 173 mg sodium, 49 g carb., 2 g fiber, 3 g pro. Diabetic Exchanges: 3 starch, 1/2 fat.
