This novel is dedicated to my daughters, Genevieve and Mira, who sometimes had to entertain themselves through summer mornings and afternoons while I typed away.

With respect to the awesome cover art, I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Christine Griffin a second time. You really captured Krish (Flank Hawk) and Grand Wizard Seelain, and the novel’s tone.
As for Cloud Runner, know that Jim Coon devised the character’s name, having had his name selected from the many who signed up for the chance to name a character in my second novel. It was a pleasure to work with him on that creative endeavor.
