These crispy prawns are another French-inspired delight to definitely try. Serve with the flavorsome dipping sauce.
Ingredients (8 servings)
10 ounces breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons desiccated coconut
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
3 tablespoons plain flour
7 ounces raw peeled king prawns, defrosted
1 egg, beaten
2 cups sunflower oil
Lime wedges, to serve
Dipping Sauce
Zest and juice of 1 lime
5 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Preparation
Mix coconut, breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, and flour in a suitable bowl and season well. Toss the prawns and beaten egg, then transfer the prawns to the crumb mixture, and coat them well. Pour the oil into a non-stick deep cooking pan. Add all the coated prawns to the hot pan and cook for about 2 minutes per side. Mix lime juice and zest, chili sauce, and soy sauce in a dipping bowl. Serve the prawns with dipping sauce.
