The famous plum clafoutis is essential to try on the French dessert menu. Try baking it at home with these healthy ingredients and enjoy it.
Ingredients (10 servings)
5 plums, halved, stones removed
2 tablespoon brandy
2 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 cup plain flour
2 1/2 cups pure cream
5 eggs
4 egg yolks
1 cup caster sugar
Mascarpone, to serve
Preparation
At 360 degrees F, preheat your oven. Place the plums in a bowl with brandy and maple syrup, then stir to combine. In a separate bowl, place the flour, cream, eggs, yolks, and sugar, and mix to combine. Set the cream aside for 15 minutes at room temperature. Strain the plums over a bowl, adding any liquid to the batter. Grease a 6 cups baking dish or ovenproof frypan, then pour batter into the prepared pan. Press the plums, cut-side up, into the batter. Bake for almost 45 minutes until golden. Serve warm with mascarpone.
