Chapter 18

Aaron pulled Astrid to stand behind him to protect his mate. He looked at Lucius with wary eyes. Lucius smirked at them as he hovered his hand in front of him.

Aaron thought he would unleash his power upon them. He tried to enter Lucius’s mind but the bloody bastard had erected his walls around his mind, protecting himself from any psychical assault that might be coming from Aaron.

Damn, he’s good, Aaron mused as he was standing in front of Astrid. His mate glanced over at Lucius over his shoulder as she stared at him. Then again, Aaron was wrong if he thought Lucius wanted to attack them.

However, it never harmed anyone to be wary of their enemies—especially when one was standing in front of them.

“Now, Huntress, why don’t you be a good girl and come here? You know your effort would be futile if you side on the wrong side of history against the Order,” Lucius asked, smiling as he was holding his hand out for Astrid.

When his black eyes locked upon the claim that Aaron put upon Astrid’s throat, he knew he already lost his greatest weapon. Lucius looked at Aaron as something brewed behind his black eyes.

“My, my... you did not waste your time on claiming her, did you, cousin? I was hoping I could destroy her little by little before I surrender her to you as the broken doll when I’m through with her,” Lucius whispered as he dropped his hand to his side. Then, he shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly.

“Oh well... Time for plan B, I guess,” he said as he inflicted pain upon Aaron. His smile vanished and only the malicious Prince of Darkness was left in his wake.

Aaron grunted when the pain reached him. He dropped to his knees as Astrid knelt beside him. She stared at Lucius with her violet eyes glittering against the darkness.

Interesting female, Lucius mused as he squinted his eyes to inflict more pain upon Aaron.

Aaron grunted as he gritted his teeth to fight the invisible pain.

“What do you want, Lucius?” Astrid asked hauntingly, gripping Aaron’s shoulders. She stared at him as if they were having a staring contest.

Aaron growled when Lucius smirked at the possessive nature of Blue blood around their mates that Aaron showed to him.

“Ah! I see that you have told her of my real name. Now, that’s a shame, cousin. I thought I might tell her when we have our wedding night together but no matter, I’ll have to improvise from here I suppose,” Lucius said arrogantly. Then, he was pointing his hand at Astrid.

Aaron knew what Lucius was about to do. Thus, he needed to take a stand and use his gift now against the threat to his mate.

However, it was not easy to counter Lucius’s Psychic power against his own.

“Sorry to say, cousin, but I don’t think you can protect your mate with your lame of an excuse of Psychic Class. You’re not that powerful when you’re going against me—Prince of Darkness,” Lucius said as he held his hand out.

Aaron used his Telekinesis to move the iron bar out of its place. He threw the iron bar against Lucius. Lucius’s hold on him weakened as the Prince of Darkness moved away to avoid the catastrophe that was headed his way.

The iron bar hit the walls behind him before Aaron moved it again to pit Lucius into the dungeon prison. When Lucius was in place, he released his hold on the iron bar and pushed Lucius into the dungeon prison. Lucius grunted, falling on his back as his white robe flared out around him.

Then, Aaron slid the iron bar into its original place. He moved the loose rocks as well for extra security to ensure that Lucius would not be out in seconds from the dungeon prison. The rocks piled up, closing the gap between Aaron and Astrid against Lucius.

Lucius only laughed at Aaron’s attempt to lock him up. He arched his eyebrow.

“I see, cousin. So, your power is Elemental after all like your precious Gabriel,” he spat as rocks were piling in front of the iron bar. His black eyes were staring at Aaron and Astrid when they made their way out of the dungeon.

Aaron glanced over his shoulder, locking his green eyes with Lucius’s darker orbs. He smirked as he pulled Astrid to his side.

“You could say that,” he replied, not denying that Lucius was wrong all the way. Even if Aaron’s Psychic Class was not as strong as Lucius’s... at least he had more than what Lucius had.

And he had his mate safely tucked underneath his arms. Perhaps, his life was not that bad after all compared to Lucius who might take a while to get out of his entrapment. Aaron nodded at Lucius.

“However, you’ll never find out the truth out of them,” Aaron added before turning his back on Lucius.

“I’ll come back for my revenge, cousin. You’ll see and by that time, you wish you don’t make an enemy out of me,” Lucius shouted as the rumbles of rocks blocked him out of his freedom.

Then, I’ll be waiting, cousin, Aaron mused as he tucked Aaron underneath his arms. They ascended the stairs. Astrid pulled him through the mazes of the Order’s headquarters before they were out on the rooftop.
