“Do you want to go for a swim, dragul meu? I know this secret place that was closed off from the public eye. Maybe you would love to swim around in the cold water,” Aaron baited as he was looking at his wife. He arched his eyebrow, wanting to get an answer out of his wife immediately.
With his acute sight, Aaron noticed that Astrid was nervous. Instantly, he went to her side, sliding his arms around her waist, and pulled her closer. Her front fit snugly against his side. Aaron soothed her nerves, rubbing his hands on her waist in a loving gesture.
“Hey, are you okay, dragul meu? You don’t have to be nervous, you know, not with me anyway. You know I’m a gentleman. I would never jump on you if you don’t wish for us to consummate our marriage just yet,” Aaron whispered huskily, smiling charmingly at Astrid.
Her violet eyes were searching his face for a moment. Aaron didn’t know what his wife was searching for but Astrid smiled after she found what she was looking for. Then, she was leaning against him.
“Hmm... A swim would be nice, min kjærlighet, I haven’t been able to enjoy swimming since I took the mantle as the Huntress of the Order. Now that was in the past,” she said, her violet eyes twinkling as she looked at him.
“I’m sure a swim in the lake would be a good time for us to spend our time together,” Astrid whispered huskily. Her hot breaths were mingling with Aaron’s as he rubbed her back with the lightest touch.
Despite everything, Astrid felt it differently. Her skin burned as his touches were lighting up something hidden deep well inside her. She tried to control her breathing, not wanting to give away her feelings or what was happening in her head as Aaron turned his head to look outside the window and stared into the woods.
“Alright then, dragul meu, if you say so. Come on now, let’s get this honeymoon started,” Aaron said cheerfully as he was trying to lighten up the mood between them. His wife chuckled at his goofiness.
“Huh, I thought our honeymoon would be starting tonight, min kjærlighet? Surely you don’t want to start it when everyone can hear and watch what we’re doing,” Astrid asked, arching her eyebrow. Her fingers were traced upon his hard chest as Aaron gulped.
Suddenly, the images assaulted his mind. Both of them were together, tangling between the silken sheets of the bed in the middle of their cabin. They were writhing together as Astrid was gripping his hair tightly in her hand. Aaron was moving on top of her, sliding in and out of her heaven sheath.
He was having his wicked ways with her as Astrid’s violet eyes were staring at his face with the utmost love showing for him.
Aaron was breathing hard. His heart skipped a beat in his chest when he knew that the possibilities of their coming together as perfectly as they could ever be were endless!
He cleared his throat as Aaron was smiling at Astrid. She had no idea what was going on in his mind right now with all his dirty thoughts and actions that he would take in the future when they were alone.
If Astrid—the former uptight, haunting Huntress of the Order—had the abilities that he possessed, Aaron knew all too well that she would run for the hills.
Or maybe strip him down right to the day that he was born in this world. He couldn’t decide which path she would take when it involved him in her scheme.
She was confusing that way and Aaron loved her nonetheless.
“Okay then, dragul meu. Do you bring your swimsuit with you? Maybe a bikini, perhaps?” Aaron asked nonchalantly. However, his heart was beating so hard inside his chest. When his wife shook her head, he only managed to smirk because he had come prepared to ensure their alone time together was worth it.
“You don’t worry since I know you won’t be needing one if we are going to be in the secret hideout that I have planned out for both of us,” Aaron replied, licking his upper lips seductively.
Astrid’s violet eyes were hooded. She blushed at the blunt sexual innuendo that Aaron was throwing in her way.
Without further ado, Aaron was pulling her, dragging her by the hand toward the door to get out of their cabin and make their journey toward their destination.
Aaron was smiling happily to the world even though the sun was hiding behind the clouds in the afternoon. The sun could be fatal for him to be walking around without any protection.
Plus, Aaron hadn’t been taking the new development pill that could allow the Blue Blood to be under the sunlight for more than a few hours. The discovery had helped their tight-close community to be invisible from the hunt that was initiated by the Order of the Holy.
However, having a mate for his eternal life and getting away from the Order’s deadly threat about their head was enough to make Aaron smile in his wake.
This could get better and better, he mused as Aaron and Astrid were making their way toward the small trail that led up to his favorite secret spot at the premise.
Astrid followed his pursuit as her hand was woven tightly with his. Her violet eyes were taking in their surroundings as Aaron walked through the bushes and shrubbery that were secluding the small trail from prying eyes.
Once they had arrived at the secret spot that Aaron had indicated earlier in their conversation, Astrid scowled before turning her lips into a pout. It made Aaron’s focus on her lips alone, leaving him vulnerable to any attacks that might be coming after them.
“I don’t see why you call it a secret, min kjærlighet. I think we need to revisit the meaning of the secret spot. This spot is 40 yards off from the public eye, Aaron.” Astrid stated as she put her hands on her hips.
The action alone was thrusting her perfect, ample breasts into the air as Aaron was smirking, leaning against the tree trunk. He was listening to the babble that came out of his wife’s mouth—the very mouth that he wished would be doing something else upon his person.
“It would be too risky for us to be out in the open when people might be stumbling upon us if you’re planning to do what you’re indicating earlier to me, min kjærlighet,” Astrid stated, glaring her haunting scowl upon him.
Knowing fully well that everything was under control, Aaron strode toward his wife, smiling charmingly at her. He was not lying when he thought that Astrid was looking cute with her haunting scowl and her lips pouting when she was mad with him.
However, Aaron was determined that he wouldn’t be having a mad female—his wife—just yet when they hadn’t started their honeymoon just yet. It seemed rude to be angry with your spouse when you’re still on your honeymoon.
Hence, I need to remedy the situation fast before it accelerates into something else altogether, Aaron mused as he stood in front of his wife. He reached out and caressed Astrid’s cheeks with the back of his hand.
“Now, now, dragul meu. Don’t be upset. We’ve only started our honeymoon together. It is not nice when my wife is furious with me when I haven’t made her come using my mouth, fingers, and cock just yet,” Aaron whispered huskily, leaning closer as he was taking in her scent into his lungs.
A north wind of Norway was passing through him. Aaron shivered, knowing that their union and consummation would be a wild one later.
“Come on, Astrid. Live a little. Don’t you think it would be fun and games to have a secret rendezvous with me—your husband—right now? Besides...” Aaron smirked, trailing off his statement as he offered his hand to his wife. He was daring her to do something out of the ordinary.
“Don’t you want to know what it feels like to live on the edge, knowing that you are free to do as you like even when the threat is over your head? You might feel... exuberant if you take this step and enjoy your life to the fullest, dragul meu,” Aaron taunted her as his green eyes shone with mischief.
Astrid stared after him. She was searching his face and looked at his offered hand. She arched her eyebrow as a smirk was plastered to her lips. Astrid rolled her eyes as she accepted Aaron’s hand.
It was an indication that his wife was taking this first step to get out of the box that had confined her for so long since her service as the Huntress of the Order. It was time for Astrid to break those confinements that didn’t define who she was.
Both of them were walking inside the cave that was situated in the secret spot that had been indicated by Aaron earlier and condemned by Astrid after seeing it.
He did not spill the secret place yet—even to his cousins, Alina and Kyle—but Aaron knew instantly that Astrid would like it once they had arrived there.
“Now, I want you to close your eyes, dragul meu,” Aaron requested. His wife arched her eyebrows for a moment before doing what she was told.
“You know this feels a little bit childish, right, min kjærlighet? Even though I knew that you wanted it to be a surprise for me,” Astrid replied, closing her eyes immediately.
Suddenly, she yelped in surprise when Aaron was scooping her up bridal style. Her hands went to his neck and held on tightly as she was breathing hard.
“What are you doing?” Astrid asked breathlessly. Aaron chuckled softly as he kissed her cheek.
“Carrying my wife in my arms. I haven’t been able to do so since our marriage, dragul meu. Hold on tight,” he replied and used his preternatural speed to the lake inside the cave that was hidden from the public view.
