Astrid’s laughter bounced off over the cave. Aaron smiled, pulling his wife closer, and claimed her mouth. He kissed her fondly as his hands roamed over her lithe body.
Astrid pulled him closer, spreading her legs wide to accommodate Aaron in the vee of her thighs. Their tongues were brushing against each other.
Aaron tasted the wild North wind upon her mouth. He broke the kiss while breathing heavily. He stared at his wife lovingly whereas Astrid was looking at him with mischief in her violet eyes.
Uh-oh! I know that look too well, Aaron mused as he felt her hands roaming over his body. Astrid was paying a particular interest on his ass as she was grinding herself upon him.
“Hmm... it would seem that it is a nice time for a swim, min kjærlighet,” Astrid purred huskily into his left ear. His erection brushed against her mound but something else happened.
Aaron blinked his eyes. One moment, he was on top of Astrid, and the next, he was inside the lake. The air in his lungs was forming bubbles in the water.
His heart beat fast as Aaron was swimming upward, using his energy to reach the surface. Then, he was gasping for air. His green eyes were moving around, trying to find the one person who had started the war between them.
Astrid was laughing at the edge of the lake. She was holding her stomach as she was puffing and huffing for air since she was too oblivious to breathe properly.
Aaron glared at her before he was smirking at her. He was swimming leisurely as Aaron was focused on Astrid. He was moving further away from the lake’s banks as water lapped at his skin.
“My, my... what a naughty little minx you are, dragul meu! Don’t you be mad if I do this then since you started the war between us,” Aaron declared with a smirk plastered to his lips.
Before long, he was dragging Astrid with his psychic power. Aaron tugged his wife to be thrown into the lake as well. Ever since he had come out to fully embrace his Blue Blood identity, his powers from the Psychic Class had been increasing tremendously.
Aaron knew that he could defeat Lucius if he wished to do so before. However, he didn’t want to burden himself to be the Prince of Darkness in the Mirror World.
Plus, he had a mate to take care of all her needs and most importantly—her pleasure.
Immediately, Astrid shrieked out loud as her voice boomed inside the cave. The water splashed around when she hit the lake. She hit the bottom of the lake as her ass hit the ground.
Aaron laughed at his wife as Astrid swam toward the surface. He smirked when she was gasping for air beside him. Aaron laughed even more at her, feeling satisfied with his revenge.
Astrid glared at him. Then, she decided to splash some water in his direction. The water hit his face as Aaron sputtered some water droplets inside his mouth. Astrid smiled at her handiwork. Aaron only manages to laugh again at her petty revenge.
“Okay, okay, dragul meu, stop. I’m sorry,” Aaron conceded, moving her closer toward him using his psychic power through the water. The water lapped at her soft skin as her violet eyes were focused on his face.
Astrid stared at him, searching his face for something that Aaron didn’t know. Determined to impress his mate, he was moving both of them around the lake.
She was in awe of him as her violet eyes shone with her fierce love. Astrid wrapped her arms around his neck, touching her nose to his cheeks. Her body shivered as she was experiencing his psychic power for the first time since they left the dungeon prison back in Transylvania.
“Hmm... this is something else, min kjærlighet. Now you made me wonder what your cousins—Alina, Kyle, and Gabriel—can do if powers are bestowed upon them,” Astrid whispered huskily.
Her soft skin was brushing against his. Her wet clothes clung to her skin, showing the red undergarments that she wore underneath.
Aaron chuckled softly after he deposited them at the center of the lake. They did not submerge below the surface of the water because Aaron used his psychic power to keep both of them floating at the surface.
“For Alina... she can do a lot of things, considering that she is the rightful heir to the Shadow Throne in the Mirror World.
“However, since Lucius de Ville is the one that is acknowledged heir apparent, she just sits quietly in the Known World to live her life with her mate,” Aaron stated nonchalantly as Astrid looked at him. She furrowed her eyebrow.
“You guys have a hierarchy even though you’re living among humans?” Astrid asked as he nodded.
“Of course we do, dragul meu. If we don’t, there might be a rebellion against the monarchy that has been established since Nos and Lillian’s myth,” Aaron said, smirking as he looked at his wife.
“Or maybe it was not a myth after all,” he added as Astrid blinked her eyes.
“Huh... I’ve never known about that before but then, I guess I learned a lot of things after meeting you, min kjærlighet,” Astrid replied as she smiled sweetly at him.
Aaron’s green eyes were focused on her face. He moved his wife closer, wrapping his arms around her waist. They were facing each other. Their chests were touching erotically underneath the water as Astrid wrapped her legs around his torso.
“Is that a good thing, dragul meu?” he asked, nuzzling his mouth against her neck. Astrid sighed softly, angling her neck for more access before she smiled.
“Definitely, min kjærlighet. You know I love a good mystery and you are the mysterious of them all, Aaron Covaci,” she replied huskily as Aaron kissed her pulse.
