For my first foray into fiction I decided to make as much of it fictitious as possible. There is no Kachina, Oklahoma and the people and places are fictitious. They also are not based off of anyone that I know.
I am certain that I did not accurately portray police procedure and the working relationships between law enforcement agencies. Remember this is a novel of pure fiction and must be considered when reading.
Not everything is fictitious. I did research on the details of the tarps, knives, ATV’s, cars, motorcycles, and various other items.
I guess it was just easier for me to know that Harley Davidson stopped making the Panhead in 1965 rather than all the intricacies of OSBI and police department procedures. If you are a member of one of those prestigious agencies, please forgive my failures in those areas. Thank you!
