Julie Christine Johnson’s short stories and essays have appeared in several journals, including Emerge Literary Journal; Mud Season Review; Cirque: A Literary Journal for the North Pacific Rim; Cobalt; and the anthologies Stories for Sendai; Up, Do: Flash Fiction by Women Writers; and Three Minus One: Stories of Parents’ Love and Loss. She holds undergraduate degrees in French and psychology and a master’s in international affairs. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, she has lived in France, Chad, Japan, New Zealand, Colorado, Ohio, and Illinois. Julie now makes her home with her husband on the tip of a peninsula where the Strait of Juan de Fuca meets the Puget Sound. In Another Life is her first novel.
