Not Your Grandma’s Chocolate Cake

Serve this pudding cake warm with ice cream.

Ingredients:

  1. Add the brownie mix, ½ cup of the water, the eggs, and the melted butter to a bowl; stir to mix. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  2. Treat the slow cooker with nonstick spray. Scrape the brownie mix batter into the slow cooker and spread evenly into the crock.
  3. Add sugar and cocoa to a small bowl; stir to mix well. Add the remaining water to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the sugar-cocoa mixture. Bring to a boil and then pour over the brownie batter in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 2 ½ hours.

Not Your Grandma’s Banana Split

Serve the warm chocolate pudding cake over a banana sliced in half lengthwise. Add a scoop of strawberry ice cream; sweetened crushed pineapple; toasted, chopped peanuts, walnuts, cashews, pistachios, or pecans; and whipped cream. Top with a maraschino cherry.
