A smiling Chanel greeted us and I would say Biscuit as well but he was pre –occupied by a clump of green grass, but at least he gave a small snort and then carried on with his eating.
“Tell me then what was it like”, Chanel enthused, I answered” well where do I start, the dragons, the dinosaurs, the magicians, unicorns, fairies, wicked sorceresses and a horrible Lynx, I just could not believe it, Red saw his parents which is what we really went for, that was wonderful and Ha ha they still look like three year olds.
We plonked ourselves down under our special tree and talked for hours, and only then did it sink in what I had seen and been through, it felt like I had lived in a dream which was all make believe, I used to dream a lot of far off fantasy places when I was younger, but what I had been through was real.
Then I told her of Alex, and my tears flowed immediately until I was sobbing, oh how I am going to miss my old buddy Alex and at times the crazy Melissa.
Chanel gave me a cuddle and I felt a lot better, then I thought “I wonder if the necklace works in our world”, surely not but I thought lets give it a go.
I explained to Chanel about the necklace and then said,” Chanel now this might not work but let me try, what would you like to eat, anything your heart desires”. She laughed, “ what are you on about, you have been sitting in the sun too long and it has pickled your brain, oh alright just to humour you I will have a Knickerbocker Glory with plenty of fresh cream. I smiled and hoped this would work, I rubbed the locket, closed my eyes and wished, and the next thing I heard was a squeal of delight, “you have done it just look at this, it’s the biggest one I have ever seen, there is even a long spoon to eat it, can we have Take That to listen to while we are eating it”.
I laughed “don’t get excited you silly girl what would you do with Take that, ha don’t answer that, I will get a radio with them singing on it, and there was a flash and as I had commanded there it was”. Well if anybody could see us a pair of silly young girls chuckling away I don’t know what they would have thought. Then I thought what else could the necklace do? This was almost too good to be true, just imagine the fun we could have.
There was such a squawk; of course I had forgotten Kee as he swooped down and landed by the side of us. Then my over active mind thought, I just wonder if I could reproduce another animal or anything else for that matter as I did produce the radio, mind you I think I was chancing my arm when I think like that, I will leave that until I have got more time to weigh up the consequences.
Then I made the perfect magic trick to amaze her, I had not told Chanel what Kee could do, so I winked at him and said, “show Chanel Kee” I turned to her and said, “now be amazed beyond your wildest dreams”.
Kee rose into the sky way above us and there was a loud bang and there was the most wonderful of eagles you could imagine, he rose even higher using the thermals and glided around making a truly remarkable spectacle and then swooped down and landed right next to Chanel half frightening her to death, as the eagle looked into her eyes with his own deep dark brown eyes you could see she was very apprehensive, but now for the Coup De Grace another bang and smoke everywhere and there before us was the most handsome of men my guardian angel, wings and all, Chanel actually screamed half with fear and half delight, then had a giggling fit which was so funny, she really is a character I think that is why I adore her so much. I could see Red looking towards us and nodding his head, and am sure he muttered something like “you girls are a nightmare”, Hee Hee we sure are. I chuckled and then said “All right Kee off you go and explore the country side”, and with that my angel disappeared and Kee rose into the sky with a few extra twists and turns just for good measure and he was on his way.
Well, with most of my favourite people in this world around me, I just wondered what tomorrow might bring, what was life going to throw at us in the future? But I have a sneaky feeling that with Red around, things and life could not look rosier.
But for now swotting for exams had to come first, that is before we are off to another adventure. I have a feeling it won’t be long before Red gets restless and we go to wherever takes our fancy, and for me it can’t come too quickly.
