In 1978, iconic and deeply troubled Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious hand-wrote a list of things that made his girlfriend of two years, Nancy Spungen, “so great”. Tragically, in October of that year, Nancy was found dead in their shared Manhattan hotel room with a stab wound to the abdomen. Four months after that, on February 2nd, 1979, just before he was due to stand trial for her suspected murder, Sid passed away after overdosing on heroin.
