HINTS FOR ETIQUETTE

or, Dining Out Made Easy

BY LEWIS CARROLL, 1849

CHARLES LUTWIDGE DODGSON, the author, mathematician and photographer, is best known as the writer of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There. He grew up in “complete seclusion from the world”, teaching himself logarithms and befriending animals. Dodgson moved to Oxford in 1851, and stayed there until his death in 1898.
