Scale

Scaling is innovation growth. Ask yourself, what can be added to a good innovation to make the innovation better? Depending on your answer, you might scale in a big way, or maybe just a bit.

If a pivot can be fun, scaling is certainly fun.  The scale comes after you had some success with your innovation. Now it is time to ramp things up. 

Think about what additional resources you will need to enact and enhance your innovation.  Hot Wheels cars are usually 1:64 scaled.  They are one sixty-fourth the size of the real car.  They look like the real car but smaller.  Your current innovation is a smaller scale of what it will be.  It is a baby innovation that needs to grow.  The scaling process is thinking through the steps that are necessary to start that process. Do not fool yourself and think that since you are scaling you will not have to pivot in the future.

Looping Pod Development and Looping Ideation instructions:

Depending on your identified direction, pivot or scale, identify the new problem. Put that new problem in the center box of the Looping Pod Development and work through the Looping Pod Development like the original Pod Development exercise. Continue onto the Looping Ideation as you did with your original Ideation exercise.
