Dear Reader,
This series started as a text conversation. Donna Alward, Nina Singh, Liz Fielding and I decided we wanted to write a miniseries involving exotic, once-in-a lifetime vacations. Getting to work together was a bucket-list item for us, so it made perfect sense we send our heroines on bucket-list adventures.
I knew immediately that my book would be set in Provence. I wanted my heroine to go somewhere breathtakingly romantic, and what could be more breathtaking than miles and miles of flowers in a land that has seen thousands of years of history. (Yeah, you’re going to find a lot of me in my hero, Philippe.)
Throughout writing this book, I jokingly referred to it as my death book, because it involves a hospice nurse and an orphaned hero. Really, though, it’s a book about life. Or rather, about living. Both Jenna and Philippe are alive, but they aren’t living life to the fullest. That’s because they are afraid to love and be loved.
An unplanned pregnancy changes everything, however.
This book has a little bit of everything in it, including French lavender fields, Roman ruins, rocky New England beaches and romantic sunsets. I hope it leaves you yearning for a bucket-list adventure of your own.
