Nestled along the banks of the mighty Mississippi River is the village of Grafton, Illinois; a quaint tiny town that was almost completely destroyed by floods. Rather than pull up stakes and move elsewhere, many of the residents vowed to rebuild their hometown, making it bigger and better than ever. One of the well-known and respected residents, Mac Coalson, has vowed to stay and help his neighbors rebuild. The eldest son of Hank and Ginny Coalson, Mac, together with his six brothers, set about the arduous task of clearing, cleaning, and repairing whatever could be salvaged. Then as the owners of a construction company, the Coalsons started helping to rebuild their community. 

Just a few years later, the revitalized little town was close to being returned to its former glory. No one ever suspected that someone wouldn’t be happy about rebuilding their town, until vandals started striking at various construction sites. Mac and his brothers decide that they must stop the culprits before someone gets hurt. After laying a trap, Mac was sure he had captured the guilty party. Instead, he finds a sassy spitfire by the name of Dixie Harris, who steals his heart. But when the vandalism turns to arson, will it be too late to save his loved ones?

What he finds is bigger and more dangerous than he could ever have imagined; a sinister plot of drug-running through the quiet little borough.  Once again, it’s up to Angel to come through for him. Will she save him, this time from certain death? 

The ever charming Chance Coalson works with his brother, Mac, running the family construction business.  Always with a ready smile and a strong back, he is considered the “Casanova of the County” with a past as a ladies-man that is legendary. With only a vague clue to find the possible location of the arsonist, Lawrence “Lucky” Coalson heads to Las Vegas. Securing a job posing as a bouncer, Lucky finds himself ensnared by the luscious bartender/manager, Claudia. However, like Lucky, she is not what she appears to be either. But unlike the old saying, what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas, as she follows Lucky home to Grafton with unimaginable consequences.
