Dear Reader,

I love Christmas. My whole family loves Christmas. It’s the season of light. A time of expectation. But we’ve got a big family, and we’ve known sorrow. A grieving heart might find the joyous lilt of holidays difficult. An angry heart has it even harder. Ty Carrington blamed himself for a tragic accident. He didn’t see that his actions saved a child, because they cost him his family. Jessica Lambert sees things differently. She sees God’s timing in everything, and while she has regrets, her buoyant, faithful nature pushes her forward.

It was an absolute pleasure to write this story and to work with Linda Goodnight, a dear and beautiful friend. Both Linda and I know that life comes complete with joy and pain, with love and sorrow. Anyone who risks love, risks loss. But God is good, and this beautiful story blesses the characters and the readers with the beauty of self-forgiveness and God’s perfect timing at a much-treasured time of year.
