And Abraham assigned everything he owned to Isaac. And to his sons by the concubines he gave gifts while he was still alive, and he sent them to the east, for the benefit of his son Isaac.
And Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years, and he died at a ripe age, old and contented, and he was gathered to his ancestors. And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, on the land of Ephron, son of Zohar the Hittite, east of Mamre, the land that Abraham had bought from the Hittites, where Abraham had buried his wife Sarah. And after the death of Abraham, God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac settled near Beer-lahai-ro’i.
These are the descendants of Abraham’s son Ishmael, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s slave, bore to Abraham. And Ishmael lived a hundred and thirty-seven years, and then he died and was gathered to his ancestors. And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, in the order of their birth: Nebayoth, the firstborn, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael, by their settlements and their encampments: twelve chieftains of twelve
tribes. And they lived between Havilah and Shur, which is east of Egypt, on the way to Asshur. And each lived at war with all his kinsmen.
