Archangel Uriel
In 1985, Soviet cosmonauts reported seeing seven large angels with wings as big as jumbo jets from the window of the Salyut 7 space station. “They were smiling,” said one woman cosmonaut, “as though they shared in a glorious secret.”
These angels bring to mind Archangel Uriel and the angels of peace. They are so large and powerful that they can simply dissolve seemingly insurmountable problems—even on a global scale—with the light of their beneficent smiles.
Uriel is not named in the Bible, but he is mentioned in other Jewish and Christian texts. In Jewish tradition, Archangel Uriel is called the “one who brings light to Israel.” He is also known as an angel of judgment, thunder and earthquake. In the Fourth Book of Ezra, Uriel instructs Ezra in the secrets of the universe.
You can think of Uriel and the angels of peace as gigantic beings, like the ones seen by the cosmonauts. They can bring peace to troubled parts of the world, to your own home and even to a troubled mind or spirit. They work quickly and with great power. When you set them to work, you may see your problems disappear as swiftly as clouds after rain. When you ask them to tackle global problems, millions of angels go to work.
In the home, family and psyche, they work with the precision of microsurgeons. They will soothe disagreements and help you to remove the sources of agitation between family members. They will also help you get to the bottom of disquiet in your own soul by giving you the strength to let go of old hurts and overcome anger, irritation, self-defeating behavior, feelings of helplessness, and conscious and subconscious fear.
