BALANCE YOUR BRAIN’S HEMISPHERES

Your brain is your most important organ, the body’s control tower. Its more than 100 billion cells send commands to direct all your other cells. In most people, the brain declines with age; however, you can take steps to slow this process.

Use this breathing exercise to encourage the two sides of your brain to work together harmoniously:

  1. 1. Hold your left nostril shut and inhale through your right nostril.
  2. 2. Hold for a count of ten, then exhale through your mouth.
  3. 3. Repeat three times.
  4. 4. Switch sides and repeat three times.

Once you get the hang of it, you can do this exercise anytime, anywhere.
