When I mentioned to Peter that I wanted to acknowledge his contribution to this book, he suggested the following: ‘I would like to thank Peter Harper, without whose dedicated use of the spell-checker this would have been a different book.’ I would also thank him for his expertise in coffee-making and his sense of humour!
