Very special guests came to visit when Jesus was born!

Born in a Stable

Matthew 1 – 2; Luke 2

Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem. There were no guest rooms in the crowded city when they arrived, so they found a stable where they could sleep on the hay.

That night in the stable, baby Jesus was born! Mary wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger.”

Out in the fields, sleepy shepherds guarding their sheep suddenly opened their eyes and blinked. Brilliant light shone all around! An angel said to the shepherds, “Don’t be afraid. I have good news! Tonight in Bethlehem your Savior is born! You will find him wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.”

Then the whole sky filled up with angels praising God. “Glory to God and peace to those who please him!” they said.

The shepherds hurried into Bethlehem and found Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus, just as the angel told them.

Far away in the East, wise men saw a new star in the sky. “It’s the star of the new king of Israel!” they said. “We must go and worship him.” They loaded their camels with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh and set out on a long trip across the desert. When they arrived in Bethlehem and found the house where Jesus was, the wise men knelt to honor the child and gave him all their gifts.
