Blood Communion

• IDIOM •

The “Blood Communion” is an idiom coined by Lestat, which he uses to refer to the company of vampires who live in his newly renovated Château de Lioncourt in the twenty-first century. Forming an official Court of the Prince ruled by Prince Lestat, myriads of vampires from all over the world gather in peace, as a unified race, without fear of persecution or internal conflicts. With the ancient covens and blood feuds finally ended, the Blood Communion becomes the family Lestat always desired, a community of like-minded individuals in pursuit of excellence, beauty, and truth.

The Blood Communion appears in the eponymous book Blood Communion (2018). For more perspectives on the Blood Communion, read the Alphabettery entries Château de Lioncourt and Lestat de Lioncourt.
