In Interview with the Vampire (1976), Celeste is a member of the coven at Théâtre des Vampires. Louis and Claudia encounter her during their visits with Armand. Along with Santiago, Celeste joins other vampires who demand Claudia’s death for attempting to kill Lestat. Shortly after Louis turns Madeleine into a vampire, Celeste and other vampires of her coven capture Louis, Claudia, and Madeleine and drag them back to the théâtre, where they imprison Louis in a coffin and wall him in without escape, and then lock Claudia and Madeleine in a small cell exposed to the sun, where they burn to ashes at sunrise. After Armand frees him, Louis returns and burns alive nearly every vampire in the Théâtre des Vampires. Celeste is included among the dead.
