Christine

• MORTAL •

When Lestat rises from his torpor in the twentieth century, he copes with the nuances of this new age by retaining a lawyer named Christine. Much the same way he employed Pierre Roget, his lawyer in the eighteenth century, Lestat has Christine execute all of his desires, such as ensuring the fame and fortune of the Vampire Lestat band.

The name Christine originates from Anne Rice’s lawyer, Christine Cuddy.

Christine appears in The Vampire Lestat (1985). For more perspectives on Christine’s character, read the Alphabettery entries Alex, Larry, Lestat de Lioncourt, Pierre Roget, Tough Cookie, and The Vampire Lestat.
