Secret Isle

• SANCTUARY •

Secret Isle is the name that the ancient Taltos Ashlar gives to the island he owns, where he, his wife, Morrigan, their four children, and several other Taltos live in harmony, and in secret, far away from mortals, until one of Ashlar’s sons, Silas, incites a rebellion among their people and attacks neighboring islands. One of those islands is owned by a drug cartel, which retaliates by attacking the island and taking it over. Secret Isle is eventually liberated when Lestat, Quinn Blackwood, and Mona Mayfair come in search of Mona’s daughter, Morrigan. The three vampires kill all the drug dealers and take the remaining Taltos back to New Orleans.

The Secret Isle appears in Blood Canticle (2003). For more perspectives on the Secret Isle in the Vampire Chronicles, read the Alphabettery entries Ashlar, Lestat de Lioncourt, Mona Mayfair, Morrigan Mayfair, Quinn Blackwood, and Taltos.
